Shelly and I have been friends since we met at church when we were about five. She's just always been there as my 'oldest' friend - even though she would constantly remind me that she was, in fact, slightly younger than me. We shared holidays together, concerts together, and many a nightclub dancefloor together. She was always my favourite go to for a fun time dancing around to some classic pop tunes. She never ceased to amaze me with her talent, strength and stamina - whether it be starring in some incredible am-dram production, swimming in a water filled quarry for fun or participating in some sporting event, Shelly was always so strong and possessed a beautiful zest for life. She even fought her illness with the biggest of hearts and the most determined of attitudes. I will miss her terribly. It's so hard to think that I will never see her face again in reality, but the memories we shared will always live on in my heart and mind for a lifetime. Rest in peace, rest in power my beautiful friend Shelly. Nigel x
